- SYNOPSIS -
It’s a child’s toy—what could go wrong? While playing with a spirit board, two sorority sisters summon the vindictive spirits of three women brutally murdered by a psychopath. Join Logan, Kacie, and the rest of the Orion Circle as they delve into the disturbing events of the past to find the key to freeing the spirits.

But this isn’t any ordinary haunting. These ghosts were banished before, and now they have returned more powerful than anyone could have imagined. Anger breeds hatred and hatred leads to darkness—these phantoms are on the verge of losing their last spark of humanity and becoming completely lost to the shadows.

Can Logan and Kacie convince the tortured souls to embrace the light and move on, or will the spirits succumb to the hypnotic pull of evil, leading to an eternity of torment and suffering?

My Thoughts: Nope, Definitely Not A Child's Game!
Twisted Sisters is the sequel to "Tortured Souls" and if you haven't read the first novel I suggest you do. However, a reader can begin the series with Twisted sisters as the author does a good job in filling in a reader as to what you may have missed or forgotten from the previous novel. This novel is definitely fast paced and is more upper young adult based on graphic content as the characters with special supernatural abilities seek out the paranormal. Think "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" meets "Supernatural" plus "Scooby-Do" and this series is kinda like all that mushed together.
The Orion Circle finds themselves helping a local sorority house, Rho Gamma Pi, when two girls decide to tempt spirits by playing with a "child's" game. The result is three menacing spirits who begin tearing the house apart and harming people inside. Logan is sent to help aided by Kacie and Daniel, but when the ghosts seem to feed off ones fears no ones appears to be safe. Especially when Logan is dealing with his own personal issues concerning his relationship with Kacie and trust in Daniel after he witnessed something he can't stop reliving in his mind over and over.
Overall, I enjoyed the sequel. However, I wished Kacie and Logan's relationship had not been tested. They're solid couple and having Logan question they're authenticity made him look insecure and kinda petty. If I hadn't read the first book perhaps I'd have been okay with this bump in the road. Though I did enjoy the duel perspective of having Logan and Kacie's views specifically since they each dealt with the ghosts differently. Also I must mention that I'm still on the fence about how I feel in regards to how Logan is always caught in situation were its either do his duty or save his girl. Now most novels have the guy forsake duty to save girl or be really fiction like and win by doing both. So having Logan do the opposite of the norm leaves me with mixed feelings, because either I'm glad for a male for believing in his girl to survive on her own or mad that he may not be the true man for her by trying to save her sooo yeah I'm conflicted. Anyways, so if you want to jump into a new series where teens with supernatural powers investigate the supernatural even at the cost of facing pure evil, then this series is good to get into.
