Reviewing and Reading books that were free or are free. You see, I finally caved and bought an eReader. Now I find I can't stop reading all the free books offered on the online market. Despite whether or not the book is a good read or not. In this blog I will weed through all books, whether it was amazing or a grammatically sad excuse for a book, because the point in the end is . . . HEY, IT WAS FREE!

For the past six years, Quinn has looked forward to the day when she would finally have her revenge against the vampire who slaughtered her family. What she never expected is for that vampire to walk into Clint's bar and unleash terror and death on her small desert town. With more people dying every day, Quinn realizes she must delve deeper into her power than she's ever wanted or dared to before, in order to save her loved ones.
As new enemies and allies arise and good friends are lost, Julian will do whatever it takes to keep Quinn from the clutches of the vampire who stalks and torments her. Even if it means becoming the vampire he once was and swore he'd never be again.
Warning keep a tissue box on hand and just know you'll use up half of it by the end of the book. Seriously Cameo Renea had me crying ugly tears but by the end I was crying content, and dare I say happy tears. The story is one of loss, strength, forgiveness, family, friends and above all love in it's truest and purest forms and actions.
Living in rural Alaska seventeen year old Elizabeth "Lizzy" Hayes, has had a rough life. Since the divorce of her parents and abandonment of her father, Lizzy's mom has been more harmful than helpful by becoming an alcoholic. Lizzy now lives on her own taking care of herself with the love and support of her best friend and boyfriend, Michael Young. So when Lizzy is plagued with a strange nightmare concerning him she fears the worst, and Lizzy's worst nightmare becomes a reality when Michael is found dead in apparent accident. Lizzy knows something isn't right and when she dreams Michael continually comes to her and beings revealing information letting her know she maybe in danger from his murder. Beginning to believe her vivid visits by Michael in her dreams, Lizzy must try to save not only herself but her friends in reality or it all might be too late.
Overall, what an emotional YA book. I've only read a few books that have me so emotionally invested that when something tragic happens at the very beginning I had cry as much as I did for this book. Lizzy just had the worst cards dealt to her, but Michael was her light in it all and to have him taken was a knife to heart. Ugh. I'm crying again. The thing that most impressed me was how Lizzy was real, she grew into a strong character despite her circumstances. I loved how she still needed help because in real life face it anyone in her position would have cracked and she would have if not for her sweet dreams. As for Michael, best man ever! Enough said. So if you are ready for an emotion-action packed story where a girl and her ghost boyfriend kick but and save each other while showing love has no bounds, this story is definitely worth a read.
My family is what keeps my heart beating, and my world a happy place to be.
I love reading great books that whisk me away from reality, even if for a little while. :)
Writing is my passion. I love creating new worlds and new characters, and taking
wondrous adventures with them.

Its been a little over a week and a half since the attack on France and around the World on November 13th.
I couldn't really peg why the attack on Paris had me so heartbroken, it felt personal despite me being not even a lick of French and living miles away in L.A. The Charlie Hebro attack was just as malicious and daily attacks in Israel are just as heartbreaking to me. Then I figured it out, perhaps the attack on Paris felt too real for me, because I had walked the very streets mentioned on the news and had been to one too many concerts this past year that everything combined just felt slighted in a way that said "it could have been you".
Paris had been on my mind all week prior to the attack on the 13th, because only 4 years ago I had been finalizing my plans to be in Paris after having a faux thanksgiving with my British friends and classmates in London. I had always wanted to go to Paris and knew that while studying abroad in London it was one of the places I HAD to see before returning home. Luckily I found friends at the university I was studying at who felt the same way and we began planning our trip.
The atmosphere of Paris was just like a regular city upon our arrival via the Chunnel, full of people and noise. But at night the stores and other places would close at dark, and only the restaurants and cafes would be open with the light of the Eiffel Tower shinning brightest in the sky.
So upon hearing the tragedy on the news and seeing what was done to shatter the normally tranquil atmosphere of Paris, my heart broke. Innocent lives were lost for a hateful purpose, peace was destroyed to spread violence and fear. The fact that I remember my time there so vividly sitting in cafes drinking in the people and city only burned in the idea it could have been me or your friends that where hurt.
The reality is no place on earth is completely safe from violence, hate or death, true fact is I've been in car accidents, one just outside my own house. But Life is Life and it's still worth living to it's fullest everywhere and anywhere. I still have places to go and people to see, but I'll never forget and will always be thankful for the places I've traveled to and the impact they've had on me as a person.
So don't forget to give thanks this thanksgiving for those around you that your hold dear and cherish the memories, because life is uncertain but you can be certain to make the most of it.

My Thoughts:Short But Great Ghost Story
Centered around a curse born from a time of witch hunts and piety; This shorty is packed with suspense, in depth plot and characters you'll want more of. Definitely not your typical ghost story, but a great addition to the genre.
Told from multiple character perspectives and from different time frames, the present is focused on high schooler, Arielle, who wants nothing more in life than control of her own life. After her parents divorce Arielle has been on a rebellious streak one of which is her relationship with bad boy Chad. Not wanting to have their relationship go too far Arielle starts to regret her decision to go with him out to the Hanging Tree. Though the two may be alone physically there are spirits lingering and they have stories to tell and warnings to impart on the two teens.
Overall, loved this book and for being a short story was wonderfully plotted out. This story could have easily been stretched out to a full length novel, but I enjoyed how to the point the story was. The characters each had their own voice and story that contributed to the whole plot. And the ending was such a great twist that it the story was wrapped up in a wonderful way.
There are some really great books that are still marked as FREE as well as some that are currently marked as $1.00 or $0.99! Now some of these books won't stay free for long and the $0.99 books are mostly on $ALE. So if you haven't grabbed these books yet I'd click them up now or forever hold your tears.
