Hey, It's A Blog Tour for "Anonymous" by L.P. Dover

by L.P. DOVER

"ANONYMOUS"
Genre: Romantic, Suspense, Standalone. 236 pgs.
Price: $3.99 ebook (at time of post)

Every person has a story to tell. Some may be sweet with a happily ever after, but there are others that end in tragedy. Mine has yet to be finished.
My name is Elizabeth Kingston and this is where my story begins.

I never thought my life could be so perfect. I have an amazing job owning my own bakery, and a wonderful husband who I love and who loves me back. Never once did I have to worry about anything, at least, not until the texts started coming in. They always begin the same way … numbers that spell my nickname when read upside down.

31773

It’s someone from my past, only they won’t to tell me who they are, but that by talking to them, I’ll figure it out. It’s a game I refuse to play. Unfortunately, I’m left with no choice when things begin to take a dangerous turn.

His name is Anonymous and there’s only one thing he wants …

ME.

“DEFINITELY RECOMMEND!”

“Holy moly! This book...the pace wouldn’t let up. The perfect combination of tension and drama and romance and just overall fabulousness.” - Heather Lovelace

My Thoughts: An Anonymous Adversary!!
Holy Crap!! I knew the end was near and boy was I super scared that I was right in my guess, because it would be so heartbreaking!! L.P. Dover did an amazing job in creating the perfect couple that faced an anonymous stalker, who is truly terrifying. When the Kingston's HEA is threatened it's up to them to piece together who they can and can't trust.
Everything in life for the Kingston's is going great, Elizabeth 'Ellie', has a bakery that is blossoming and Jake is gaining a name for himself at the architect firm he works at in Pinecrest, North Caroline. They've even decided to start planning for a family. So when out of nowhere Ellie receives a text message from an Anonymous sender saying '31773 You're Mine'; She's absolutely shocked, scared and then angry that someone is trying to mess with her life. Once Jake learns of this Anonymous stalker, he makes it his mission to ensure Ellie is safe and that together they can move on from this incident. But Anonymous won't be taken lightly and makes his presence know as he wants Ellie only for himself.
Overall, excellent read, the couple was amazing and the story was enthralling!! The story was told mostly from Ellie's point of view but later on when things get very intense Jake's perspective is introduced. Ellie is a strong character who despite the situation doesn't allow people just push her into a corner or hide her away. Honestly, in Ellie's situation I'd have been a mess and probably wouldn't have be so lax about having such an aggressive stalker. Oh and Jake, be still my heart, the man is all male wanting to protect what is his. When he goes full MMA on Anonymous it's scary but once that's all taken care of the epilogue is so sweet and fantastic. So if you want to enjoy reading about a couple completely in love that deals with an Anonymous stalker that threatens their HEA, then you'll enjoy this novel.

- SYNOPSIS -
In this fast-paced romantic suspense, China Mack will make one final choice.

Computer genius China Mack may be the former head of Vigilance, the government’s clandestine spy program, but she can still be knocked off balance. And two back-to-back personal blows have thrown her into a tailspin.

While her relationship with tech billionaire Jackson Cooper is on the rocks, China is testing the boundaries of what she feels for man-of-mystery Clark Slattery. But when China learns that her mother’s death sixteen years ago wasn’t an accident, she can’t rest until she knows the truth. And China’s own father, an elusive ex–CIA agent, might have been the killer. To avenge her mother’s death, she needs help, and both Jackson and Clark step up to the plate. But when her investigation is linked to a decades-old international plot to hack the New York Stock Exchange, putting both of the men she loves in danger, China must make an impossible decision to keep them safe.

As the three of them are plunged into a far-reaching conspiracy, China’s notions of love and trust are turned upside down. For China, this final case couldn’t be more personal—or more dangerous.

My Thoughts: Beware Emotional Roller Coaster Ahead!!
I’ve been in a reading funk for over two weeks thanks to this book. It’s left me in such an emotional wreck because I just can’t decide if I loved it or not, due to China’s final decision. Honestly I re-read the series in prep to read the final book, so when it came to the end I was stuck in shock all alone at 2am. All my emotions pushed aside I’ve finally decided after much thought and several attempts to write a review, that yes, I loved the book because it was #teamchina all the way!!
Choosing to explore her friends with benefits relationship with her way too hot for his own good agent Clark Slattery, China Mack feels nothing but guilt for putting a stop to her relationship with tech billionaire Jackson Cooper. So when she opts to try to mend her and Jackson’s relationship by informing him friendship is all she wants, Jackson does not take it nicely, nor does Clark in finding out China still has feelings for her ex even if just seeking friendship. Now if only the two men in her life were her only issue, but life for China doesn’t work that way, and she finds herself seeking the father she never knew about trying to avenger mother and once again trying to stay alive. Despite their relationship issues all three: China, Jackson, and Clark work together to work out what threaten each of their lives and any possible futures.
Overall, great series conclusion the had me enthralled, anxious, mad, crying, shocked and then content. China really shined thorough in this novel when she showed everyone especially her men that her happiness what important just as much as theirs even if that meant letting Jackson and Clark go. China has always been a character I connected to the most so when she did choose and didn’t pick the man I was rooting for I was crushed, but his ending was beautiful and leads to more wonderful news that I won’t spoil. I just loved how author, Tiffany Snow, built the moment of China’s choice and even had Kade make a quip about it. And not gonna lie I even loved the beautiful epilogue, because China finally got her HEA. So if you’ve been reading this series since the beginning definitely read this finale and enjoy all the emotions you’ll be sure to feel.

EXCERPT
Chapter 1:
Please take care, dear China, and know that while your
biology may have been a falsehood, the love of those
closest to you has always been true.

                           All my love,
                                      Mom

My mother had been murdered. It hadn’t been my fault she’d died in that car wreck.
The idea was difficult to wrap my head around. I’d harbored guilt for being the only survivor that night all my life. My mother had been everything good in my world. And in a horrifying instant, my life had changed forever.
And to think the man she’d been so madly in love with—my biological father—had killed her . . . it was too much to process.
Love. Bonnie said I should trust in love. My mother had loved Mark, and he’d betrayed her. I’d loved her more than anything, and she’d died. Jackson said he loved me, but he couldn’t forgive me for ending us, which I thought was something you did when you loved someone.
Love opened you up to being hurt. It was akin to not only someone pointing a loaded gun at you, but handing it to them, too. You just had no idea how long you’d have until they pulled the trigger.
Clark and I had something, there was no denying that. I liked him and cared about him. But there was a thick wall between us that had Jackson written all over it.
I glanced at my phone for the fiftieth time in the past thirty minutes. I hadn’t heard from Clark all evening. He usually texted to at least say good night, no matter where he was, and he’d been in a few different time zones the past several weeks. But tonight . . . nothing.
It made me ache inside. The wall said Jackson, but the hurt inside my chest was all Clark.

31773
It’s someone from my past, only they won’t to tell me who they are, but that by talking to them, I’ll figure it out. It’s a game I refuse to play. Unfortunately, I’m left with no choice when things begin to take a dangerous turn.
His name is Anonymous and there’s only one thing he wants … ME.
It’s closing time and Vikki and I are busy cleaning, so we can get home. My phone beeps with an incoming text and I look down at it and growl. “You can’t be serious.” Staring back at me isn’t a text from Jake, but from Anonymous. Even though I deleted and blocked the number ninety days ago, I still recognize it.
Vikki moves closer, her eyes wide. “What’s going on?”
I show her the text.
Anonymous: 31773?
Brows furrowed, she sits back. “What does that mean?” I turn my phone upside down, so she can see that the number spells out my name. Her eyes widen. “Wow, that’s cool you can type your name with numbers.”
“But not so cool when I don’t know who the person is,” I counter. “About three months ago, I got texts from this exact same person. Whoever it is likes to play games. I’m sick of it and I want them to leave me alone.” Taking a deep breath, I type out a reply.
Me: WHO IS THIS?
Anonymous: Why all the yelling?
I roll my eyes. This is just ridiculous.
Me: I like using all caps.
Anonymous: Don’t stop on my account. So, what have you been up to? Been a while since we talked.
Me: Yeah, it’s because I blocked the number.
Anonymous: Why?
Me: BECAUSE I DON’T KNOW WHO YOU ARE!!!!!!!!
“What is he saying?” Vikki asks. I show her the texts and her eyes widen. “So, you haven’t talked to him since you blocked the number?”
I think back to when I blocked it and if my calculations are correct, the ninety days was up yesterday. “No, but he has perfect timing. My ninety days ran up yesterday. I might need to run to the cell store and see if they can block it permanently.”
My phone beeps again and a sharp pain settles in my gut. I just want whoever it is to leave me alone.
Anonymous: That hurts. You’ve always been friendly toward me.
Me: Obviously not friendly enough, if you can’t tell me who you are. It’s weird and it makes me uncomfortable. You need to leave me the hell alone. Don’t text, call, or try to contact me in any way. I’m happily married, and I want it to stay that way. GOODBYE!
Heart racing, I log into my cell phone account and before I can block the number, another text comes through.
Anonymous: Sorry 31773 but that’s not going to happen.
The blood in my veins runs cold. Hands shaking, I block his number and my phone drops onto the table. Vikki picks it up and reads the final text, her face growing pale.
“I don’t think this person’s going away."
