My Thoughts: Danger, Wolves, Hot Chemistry And Romance, Will Keep You Turning Page After Pages!
I was leery of the book after reading the first chapter, especially after that uncomfortable near rape scene, BUT then story just took off! Yes, there was definitely mature content in the story, but since it was well written and balanced into a great plot where a reader had more story than just sex, I can completely say I enjoyed the book. The characters, chemistry, dialogue and plot all flowed together making for a great book that I fully intend on following into the next novel.
Learning she is promised to marry the sadistic wolf Kade against her will, Bailey has no choice but fight and to run. With no pack to help her she stumbles into a place far from her territory. The pack who helps her is a mixed bunch of wolves lead by a strong alpha named Ryker and he has been waiting a long time to finally reacquaint himself with Bailey. Bailey knows she is stronger than normal wolves, so trying to fight her attraction or connection to the alpha should be easy but something is different. Ryker informs Bailey that they are true mates and that their finding one another brings hope to the others in their desires to find their mates too. Bailey is uncertain about this new magic and wants to fight what her instincts tell her. Meanwhile danger is still out there as Bailey's old pack searches for her, but Ryker has made it clear he won't let her go with out a fight.
Overall, loved it. The suspense and chemistry was well balanced and the characters relationship developed at a good pace so a reader could love them when they too fell in love, not just in lust. Oh and Ryker is definitely an Alpha but not overbearing, which is great because no woman, especially a strong female like Bailey, should stand for a dominating man. So if you are into paranormal were there are wolf clans fighting and there's suspense plus a mystery too, oh and strong male and female characters with hot chemistry, then this book should hold your interest, it definitely got me.
