My Thoughts: Made To Run And Finally Finds Home.

These two books are a rare find, both are action packed to the max with suspense and mystery, oh and of course family, friends and love. Perhaps one of the biggest wow factors about these two books are the way each of the stories were written. "I Know Lucy" was written from a character's perspective about Lucy with flashbacks about her in 3rd person, while "Set Me Free" is from Lucy's perspective. The differing character perspectives helps heightens the intensity of the story and aids in deepening your connection to the main characters, Lucy and Zach.
"I Know Lucy" introduces readers to Zach Schultz who becomes infatuated with the new girl in school, Lucy Tate. Zach quickly brings Lucy into his life and best friends, but there is a mysteriousness about her that he just can't peg. Zach is not one to let a mystery go unsolved and he quickly sets out to find out who is Lucy? In "Set Me Free" a reader is taken through the amazing conclusion to the Fugitive Series beginning where the first book left off. Zach and Lucy work together to ensure her past is set right, so she can be free to live in the present and finally plan for a future life.
Overall, I loved the suspense and solid relationship that develops between Lucy and Zach, plus Lucy is just a super heroine! Lucy's life is literally hell and heart break after heart break, but she still lives on. The fact she didn't become a basket case after all the physical and emotional trauma she endured is a testament to the fact of just how resilient she is. However, my absolute favorite part is when she decides to stop running and fight back for a chance at peace and a home with Zach. Oh and Zach, he is definitely selfless and relentless about seeking justice especially for those he loves. The only issue I'd say I have is with the second book's perspective choice.  I wish it had been kept to just Lucy's perspective and not switched between her and Zach's points of views so the focus would be kept more on Lucy. Besides that, I loved the pace, the action, and the characters. Also the series conclusion was okay but it is was it is, since it was realistic in that Lucy would have had to go back to a real life not just her and Zach get a magical HEA. However, I also know there may be more about Zach and Lucy in the future IF the author decides to return the series, which *fingers crossed, I hope it happens, because I really love them and want more from Lucy.

Now be forewarned listed below are each books descriptions none are too revealing BUT still read at your own risk. I dare ya!

Lucy Tate is on the run. After witnessing the brutal murder of her parents, she's spent five years in hiding -- taking on different personas and faking her way through life. The authorities can't be trusted, so she remains in the shadows, always one beat ahead of the man who is forever hunting her. That is, until she meets Zach Schultz, a senior at Monte Vista High and the one guy she can't bear to leave. Suddenly her natural instincts to lie, cheat, and run are overshadowed by something else...the desire to stay and perhaps, love. It's her one shot at a normal life.

Curious by nature, Zach is immediately drawn to the new girl at school. How can a person look both confident and vulnerable all in the same moment? Determined to figure Lucy out, he sets out to unravel the mystery that is her and soon finds himself caught up in a cat and mouse game. For the first time in his life he is faced with the reality that the truth can no longer set him free...if anything, it's going to get him killed.
