My Thoughts: Powerful Little One
Book one in the short stories introduces readers to the main character and heroine of the Omega Series, Alessandra.
Seeing ribbons of emotions and having the ability to awake inanimate objects, Alessandra understands she's different even at her young age. Her parents tell her to keep her talents a secret in fear that people could come for her. It's not until Alessandra heals and awakens a grotesque or gargoyle whom she names as Mismatch, that her life becomes endangered. The people she was warned about may have found her but the questions are who are they, why is Alessandra important and what is Alessandra?
Overall, great intro into the Omega series. Alessandra is a powerful but sensitive little girl who seems to be very special. She is definitely kind hearted and sweet, so I can't wait to find out what she is and how important she is to the world.

My Thoughts: The Grecian Prince, Who is Half Man-Half Beast.
Second prequel short story introduces the gargoyle, or grotesque, who is named Mismatch by Alessandra. Having been cursed to be in the state of the living death for 4 thousand years, Mismatch takes a while to acclimate to being human by day and gargoyle by night. Knowing Alessandra is the special little one who awakened him from his curse, Mismatch wants to ensure her safety but first he has his own mission to fulfill. He seeks to stop the curse of his bloodline. Mismatch was a prince of Greece and as such he was cursed to become a grotesque sitting on the gods temples when his heir was of a certain age of health. To ensure the new princess of Greece is not tricked into the same fate that befell Mismatch all before and after him, he promises to rescue the young princess and take her away. He just has to navigate this new century and his new state of both human and beast.
Overall, loved it. Mismatch is such a hero. It's so sad what his bloodline has to go through that it's a wonder he isn't sadistic instead of caring. Though Mismatch doesn't know his name he knows his immediate purpose and it's protecting Alessandra and now the princess Phoibe. *Sigh, I wish I had a loyal and strong Mismatch.
