My Thoughts: The Flawed Little Princess
For the third book readers are introduced to the young heir of Greece, the princess Phoibe. Tucked away from society, taught and raised by the priestesses Phoibe has only felt alone and fear. Her mother was the only kind person to her, but after her mother died and left her in the hands of the temple, Phoibe has known nothing but shame for her shortcomings. Phoibe prayed for a savior and Mismatch came promising to not only take her away but save her from the same fate he had fallen to and those in their bloodline. Knowing her mother is not dead but semi-alive in the grotesque state Phoibe is ready to venture out beyond the High Priestesses reach and search for her mother. If only she could outlast the Priestess while awaiting Mismatch return, her only friend and sense of strength is found in a shadow named Lantos. In the end he may just be her last hope of deliverance.
Overall, heartbreaking story, Poor Phoibe is only 6 years old and has so much thrust upon her with responsibilities and politics that it's unimaginable to believe she is only a child. That High Priestess is pure evil and the things she does to innocent Phoibe makes you want to cry for the young girl. Seeing how strong Phoibe is now definitely shows she will only become a stronger character in the books to come.

My Thoughts: Mr. Lonely and Displaced
Being not fully human or fully titan, Lantos is a special demigod. Seeking the approval of his titan father, Lantos is sent to spy on all who are in power. Lantos has the ablity to be unseen by gods and humans alike, living in the shadows by being a shadow. It's while doing this mission for his father that he meets the young princess Phoibe. He and Phoibe are kindred souls both thought to be worthless but each special in their own right. SO while he is meant to destroy her, Lantos finds he may not be able to do as his father commands. Lantos seeks out another way to gain favor and stumbles upon Mismatch, who then leads him to Alessandra which might be the key to earning him his place alongside his father.
Overall, great backstory. Lantos is basically that lost little boy just wanting to please his evil father. The guy only wants a place to call his home but no one will have him, except for Phoibe. Which is why it's such a conflict of interest for him when he is told to hurt her. So I can't wait to see how Phoibe and Lantos relationship grows in the main series to come. Oh and I'm super upset and what he did to the amazing Mismatch, but I'll at least give him points for feeling guilty about it.
