"DREAMER", The Seeker Series #2
-synopsis-
Meet Ally Moran, a 17 year-old who also happens to be psychic. Oh, and she’s getting more psychic with every passing day, so much so that she’s been sent to Ireland to check in with the Seer Council to see what’s up with her freaky new powers.

Jack Ruiz is her 19 year-old boyfriend, a former troublemaker who’s back on track and trying desperately to graduate. His plans did not include falling in love with a psychic trouble-magnet.

Last month they worked together to save a friend in deep trouble and ended up solving a school-wide mystery. But now there’s a new guy at school, Remy Giles, and he seems just a little bit too interested in Ally for Jack’s liking. And why does Ally keep dreaming about a kidnapping? Last month seems like a cakewalk compared to this semester…
Ally's trying to solve a mystery, but Jack is just trying to keep her alive.

Ally Moran and Jack Ruiz are starting their first year in college and are looking for peace and quiet for the first time in their relationship…

However, it may be too much to hope for.

Meanwhile, Rémy Giles and the mysterious Mina have accompanied Ally home from France so they can try to figure out what the newest prophecy could possibly mean.

Is Ally the next Oracle?

And if all this weren’t enough, Ally fears she is being stalked, and she appears to have a secret admirer who is sending her creepy personal messages in the college newspaper. However, no one else has seen this “supposed” stalker, so she fears she may be going crazy.

As Jack and Remy fight to keep Ally safe against the looming danger,

Ally begins to fear for the one thing she can’t bear to lose…her sanity.

My Thoughts: Present Feeling of Paranoia With An Uncertain Future Brings A Lot of Stress.

This is the third book in the Seeker series and leaves right off where Dreamer left us. So if you have not read the previous books you must or you will be lost, plus they're great. This story is about the characters transitioning from high school to college life with it comes a lot more adult life situations, decisions and stress. The story flows rather slowly till the middle when it picks up jumping a year ahead to allow for character and plot growth.
Flying to France with Remy instead of Ireland like she was supposed to is both thrilling and scary to Ally. The question of knowing if she is THE Oracle is huge, so meeting Remy's grandma and the rest of the French council is something Ally knows she must do. Ally meets the Remy's grandma, Kate, the current Oracle, who makes it clear that she still intends to make Remy and Ally a couple despite Ally repeatedly mentioning Jack, but she will not be deterred. Then enters the Irish Seer council leader with a new girl named Mina, who is also very powerful. When Mina, Remy and Ally touch a new prophecy is revealed by Kate suggesting the three of them are bound in some way and a new era of the Seers is at hand. Ally finally returns home to New Mexico this time with Mina and Remy, but home turns out to be even less peaceful. Getting a chill every so often Ally is plagued with a feeling of being watched and at night she had terrible nightmares of being chased by an unknown man. However that's not the only thing in her life adding stress, Ally is told by her mom that her dad suddenly wants to meet her and have a relationship with her. College life turns out to be no picnic with its work load, different classes and people. Then there is the whole question of Jack and Ally's possible progression into a deeper relationship, which has Ally wondering if they'll ever take the big steps forward or stay where they are, because of their ages and Ally's ever growing Seer issues.
Overall, I liked the story but I found the first part slow and kept waiting for the book to get going. The whole story was setting up for the next book since the characters are in a transitional phase of their lives. This book needed to be written but I wonder if some of this could have been split into the previous book and added to the next. I loved the new prophecy and I think I figured it out, buuut I shall just wait and see. Jack and Ally's relationship is growing and is more solid now than before, though it looked like it was going to break for a minute there in the beginning. Ally is learning that life is messy and people are strange creatures with motives of their own that do things no one can or will understand at times. Being a seer is definitely not all it is supposed to be and watching Ally almost crack under the pressure of the nightmares and stalker was grueling. I can't wait to see how it all works out in the next book and I hope Ally's rushing into trouble attitude doesn't get the gang into too much danger; Because I really want Ally and Jack to have a HEA. So if you're continuing on with this series you'll be happy to know that this story is filled with love, suspense, mystery, frustration, visions and the total cast of characters you'll love including a new one or two.

-synopsis-
Spending her junior year in college in France should be the adventure of a lifetime…

My Thoughts: SEERiously A Great Ending For This Series!

This is the conclusion to the Seeker series and I am crushed that it is over! I have grown to love these characters and can't believe the series is done, but the epilogue makes a reader happy. Plus the note at the end from the author hints at possibly more to come, *Happy Dance! The story follows the characters as they decipher the meaning of prophecy, ferret out a new threat, and grow in their relationships.
Deciding to stay in Paris for a year to keep danger away from those she loves, Ally is extremely home sick and wants nothing more than to return home, especially to her love, Jack. However, when Mina is kidnapped by Luc, and then mysteriously returned. Ally, Remy and Mina decide it's time for them to take control for once, so they make a few personal and seer changes. For one Remy and Mina finally admit their feelings and  . . . (I'm not saying anything more). Then Ally and Jack take the plunge! (Okay couldn't help that spoiler) The 3 Seers join together to fake an Oracle ascension to return to America where they can plan to lure Luc out of hiding. While finally home more wedding bells toll and life goes on wonderfully. . . for a time. It's not until Ally gets a vision that has her frantically searching for a way to save something, or should a say someone, precious to her. Ally, Mina and Remy begin practicing and planning to guard themselves against anything Luc is putting together. The only hitch to their plan is Luc seems to always be a step ahead, and there is a mysterious little boy who seems to have powers no one understands.
Overall, LOVED IT! I wanted my HEA and I got it and perhaps with a hint for more to come, *fingers crossed. The weddings were so cute and made me want to cry, all the couples just blossomed from teenagers to mature adults and it was wonderful to read it over the 4 books. Jack and Ally's relationship is just too beautiful and in this story they take on a whole new role as more than just a couple when they take in Megan. Oh and yes, the prophecy is revealed and fulfilled concerning Mina, Remy and Ally (which I guessed right). So happy for how that turned out and I can see how it was all meant to be. One of the best parts was the beautiful epilogue, it was a great conclusion to the book and closure to the series that gave readers a sense of peace. Really sad its over, but so glad I was able to read this series and can re-read it whenever I want to.
